Anthony, provider

Antony, manager of the Cellier structure in Saint-Affrique

His presentation in a few words:

At 37, Anthony, originally from Aveyron, has already had several professional lives. He has a professional diploma in youth, popular education and sport and works in leisure centres and schools. At the end of his contract, he had several projects for professional reconversion with the desire to take over a business in his home town. He then noticed a wine and spirits shop for sale in Saint-Affrique.

Anthony entered the wine business in October 2019, training for three months alongside the former manager. He quickly wanted to add his personal touch by carrying out work, firstly to refresh the place but also to double the sales area. The exterior also underwent changes with the creation of a terrace to offer tastings.

In the first year, he had to learn the trade and make himself known, even if his roots in Aveyron and his involvement in the sports associations accelerated things. Epicurean, human and attentive to his customers, Anthony has a cellar that reflects his image.

Sharing the culture of good bottles and cultivating the pleasure side

It is important to him to get to know the local winemakers whose wines he sells. To do this, he takes the time to travel around the region to visit them on site in order to maintain the links he has established with them. Today, he has more than 500 references of bottles. There is something for every taste as all the terroirs of France are within reach. Anthony can define himself as a merchant of happiness, making the transition between the winemaker, his terroir, his know-how and the consumer.

His wife Elodie joined the adventure in 2021 and together they are leading new projects, such as the development of the range of spirit wines, the proposal of moments animated by winegrowers with tasting of wines and local products.

For the end of the year, the emphasis is on the creation of gourmet baskets tailored to the desires and budget of customers. The gastronomic products on offer come from partnerships with local producers.

And for the future

Their visibility will soon be reinforced by the installation of signs in the town centre.

This dynamic couple has many other ideas in mind, such as developing a convivial place with a wine bar. In the meantime, they wish to continue their convivial days or evenings around wine. These moments are an opportunity to strengthen ties with producers and customers. Authenticity, local, sharing, discovery, advice, and humanity are the guiding principles for the future.
