The Larzac Causse which is an ancient seafloor and a huge limestone plateau in the Cévennes. This outstanding territory is to be discovered for its moonscapes with ruins-like rock formations and its vast areas swept by the wind. Its history, deeply marked by the Templar knights offers today visits to huge farms and fortified villages, from Sainte-Eulalie de Cernon to La Couvertoirade. Through hiking, you will explore the Lacaune sheep farms which allow the making of Roquefort Cheese and provide leather for glove making. You will also discover the typical architecture and the wealth of natural heritage. This unique territory which is now protected and enhanced by the Grands Causses Natural Regional Park, is listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
